Volunteering at the Imperial Festival

We had a record number of volunteers help deliver the Festival in 2016 - over 250 staff, students and supporters of the College. The success of the Festival depends on the skills, time and energy of many staff, students and alumni. We are very grateful to all exhibitors, performers and volunteers who help us make it happen.

For the 2017 Festival there will be over 300 volunteer slots available. Please signup to volunteer at the 2017 Imperial Festival and Alumni Weekend. (external link)

These opportunities range from two-hour early bird set-up tasks at the start of the day to four-hour stints across the Festival site. There are behind the scenes roles, such as set up, and front of house roles including activities such as leafleting on the road or tube, greeting visitors, selling merchandise and guiding tour groups to labs.

Volunteering can give you the opportunity to try something new, gain experience, develop skills, improve your career prospects, build confidence, meet new people and have fun!

All volunteers will be requested to attend a briefing session scheduled in April, where you will receive a briefing pack and the exclusive Festival volunteer T-shirt.

Follow updates on social media via the hashtag #impfest for the latest on volunteering opportunities at the 2017 Festival.

Volunteering opportunities at the Festival are available to everyone, regardless of affiliation to Imperial.
