Applications for the Summer 2017 campaign are now open!
What are the telephone campaigns?
Our telephone campaigns are an exciting opportunity for students to make an important contribution towards attracting essential philanthropic support from alumni and friends of Imperial.
During each campaign, we aim to contact around 7,500 alumni, sharing news and upcoming events at Imperial, and inviting alumni to support the College through a range of giving opportunities. These donations will help to fund projects across the College, from outreach and mentoring programmes to scholarships and financial support for current students. For more information about our current fundraising priorities, visit the giving homepage.
So far this year we have raised over £200,000 to support many different initiatives at Imperial. We hope to continue this success during our summer appeal, our final campaign of 2016-17.
The telephone campaign isn’t just about fundraising; it is also a great way for Imperial to stay in touch with its alumni and build a long term relationship with them. Alumni enjoy hearing about what it is like to be a student at Imperial today, and reminiscing about their own experiences.
Join the team this year!
The College is looking to recruit a dedicated team of trained student fundraisers who are passionate about Imperial and enjoy the opportunity to engage with the alumni community. The summer 2017 appeal will run for five weeks, from Monday 12 June to Thursday 13 July.
The telethon is a great opportunity to boost your CV, and the professional skills you will develop are highly valued by employers. We will support you with training throughout the campaign, and you will have the opportunity to speak to alumni who studied a similar course and who have lots of careers advice to offer. It's a great networking opportunity, not only with other current students but with alumni as well.
Interviews will be held from Monday 5 June through to Wednesday 7 June on the South Kensington Campus.
Students who are successful at the interview stage must attend the compulsory paid training on Saturday 10 June (10:00 - 17:00) and Sunday 11 June (10:00 - 17:00).
Here is what our former callers have enjoyed about the role
"I loved the opportunity to talk to alumni that are working in the sector I would like to work in, and getting an insight into what the industry is like."
"There is a good, friendly atmosphere in the Alumni Office, and our calling team was great."
"I really enjoyed building relationships with alumni from various backgrounds, and I felt like I could make them still feel part of the College."
